THE Identity OF A COMMUNITY AND ITS COLLECTIVE MEMORY ARE NOT ONLY REPRODUCED BY MEANS OF LITERATURE, RELIGIOUS RITUALS, CEREMONIES AND NATIONAL CELEBRATIONS AND SPORTS COMPETITIONS, BUT ALSO URBAN SPACE THROUGH THE Place OF MEMORY AND THE SPACES OF EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICE, THE FIELD OF REINFORCEMENT AND THE CONTINUITY OF COLLECTIVE Identity. THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO STUDY THE Place OF MEMORY AS ONE OF THE FACTORS INFLUENCING THE FORMATION, CONTINUITY AND STRENGTHENING OF COLLECTIVE Identity.THE PRESENT STUDY IS BASED ON THE SURVEY AND ITS POPULATION CONSISTS OF ALL 15-YEAR-OLDS ABOVE CITIZENS OF ISFAHAN CITY WHO HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF LIVING IN THE CITY AND HAVE ENOUGH LIVING EXPERIENCE TO ANSWER THE RESEARCH QUESTIONS. THE SAMPLE SIZE OF THE STUDY WAS 650 INDIVIDUALS. THEY WERE SUBJECTED TO QUOTA SAMPLING AND QUESTIONNAIRES. IT WAS OBSERVED BASED ON THE FINDINGS THAT, THE HISTORICAL PlaceS OF ISFAHAN, SUCH AS NAGHSHE JAHAN SQUARE, SI-O-SE POL BRIDGE AND KHAJU BRIDGE, WITH GREAT DISPARITY AS THE THREE PlaceS OF THE MAIN MEMORY OF CITIZENS, IN WHICH PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCE AND MEMORY OF THE PAST. IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT THE RESULTS OF THESE SITES ARE SHOWN FOR DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS, AND ALMOST ALL AGE GROUPS Place THEIR FIRST MEMORY IN ISFAHAN HISTORICAL PlaceS. THIS CONJUNCTION BETWEEN DIFFERENT GENERATIONS REFLECTS THE ROLE OF THE Place OF MEMORY AND URBAN SPACE IN THE REPRODUCTION OF COLLECTIVE Identity.
